Tagged is not the same as compliant
A sticker on the bottle proves someone visited. A service record proves the equipment works.
Under AS1851-2012, portable fire equipment is inspected and tested on a set cycle, and the results are recorded against the site. When a certifier, insurer or auditor asks what happened at the last service, the answer needs to already exist. That record is the part most buildings are missing, not the tag.

Part of a complete arrangement
Equipment servicing sits alongside the rest of your compliance. Most sites pair it with evacuation diagrams drawn to AS3745-2010, emergency procedure flip charts and an Annual Fire Safety Statement. One provider means one set of records that agree with each other.
Common questions
How often do fire extinguishers need servicing?
Under AS1851-2012, portable fire extinguishers are inspected and tested every six months, with a fuller service annually. We hold your schedule and come back before each interval falls due.
What equipment do you service?
Portable fire extinguishers, fire blankets, hose reels and hydrants, along with exit signs and emergency lighting.
What happens if a unit fails?
You get told what failed and why, in writing, along with the cost to repair or replace it. Nothing is swapped out quietly and you decide what proceeds.
Do you cover my area?
Physical equipment servicing is carried out across the Greater Sydney metropolitan area. Our printed compliance work, such as evacuation diagrams and flip charts, is supplied nationally.
Can you service multiple sites under one arrangement?
Yes. Multi site portfolios run on a single inspection and maintenance package, with one schedule, one point of contact and one invoice.
We are not sure what equipment we have. Is that a problem?
No. If you have no asset list, our technician counts and records every item on the first visit and that becomes your baseline register.
Can you handle our Annual Fire Safety Statement too?
Yes. See our page on the Annual Fire Safety Statement, which we can carry out at the same time as the equipment service.
